What is an edge banding machine?

After cutting the edges of the workpiece, the cut area has a rough and uncoated appearance. In order to increase the lifespan and beauty, polymer strips can be glued to the edges of the workpiece with the help of edge-gluing machines, which will also make the workpiece resistant to heat and moisture. The most important feature of the MDF edge-gluing machine is the number of stations, which will determine the edge-gluing services provided to the customer.

The level of expectation that the operator has from the edge banding machine is directly related to the number of stations on this machine, meaning that the PVC edge banding stations are:

Preheating heater: At this station, the surface of the workpiece is slightly heated so that better quality glue can be applied to the piece.

Pishferz Station: In order to prevent errors and chipping during cutting, the workpiece is cut at this station by about two millimeters.

Glue and press station: After the glue is melted and prepared in the tank with heat, it is placed on the edge of the work by a roller and pressed by several rollers at the pressure roller station.

The head and bottom of a woman: At this station, the beginning and end of the PVC edge strip are cut so that the PVC strip does not have extra edges.

Up and down milling: After the piece passes through the top and bottom cutting and trimming station, the top and bottom allowances of the strip are fully paid off at this station.

Woman's Corner Station: At this station, the beginning and end edges of the workpiece are slightly rounded or chamfered to eliminate the sharp top and bottom edges of the beginning and end of the workpiece and give the workpiece double beauty.

High school: Any glue left on the edges of the workpiece will be removed at this station. The edge of the workpiece will also be smoothed at this station, and it is a complement to the finishing milling.

Polishing: The polishing station is the last station of the workshop where the polishing brush rotates on the workpiece and cleans it. It also polishes the PVC strip by spraying liquid paraffin and makes it shiny, so that the workpiece is finally shown to be of very high quality.

Each of these stations provides different features to the edge banding machine, which ultimately improve the performance of the machine and, as a result, the final quality of the workpiece. It is also worth noting that the workpiece in the edge banding machine is guided forward by a conveyor belt whose speed can be adjusted.
